The village of Kritsa is picturesque and friendly, situated in the foot of the Mount Kastellos. If you drive to its top the views of the valley below reach to the Mediterranean. A walk through the village especially in the early morning is recommended, for only then can you feel the pulse of this charming village. With its picturesque houses, the small traditional shops and tavernas, it is the ideal village for souvenirs and gifts.

About one kilometer before we come to the village, we find the church of Panaghia or Kera. The church has very important and well-preserved Christian Orthodox wall paintings dating from the 14th and the 15th centuries, interesting from the point of view of themes and style.

Further up from Kritsa, at Kontaratos, the attraction of the ruins of the ancient Doric city of Lato with its two acropolis, an agora, a number of public buildings and several houses.
